My Health

Today is Monday Sept 30th. my health has been pretty good the past few days and I have been able to keep up with the hustle and bustle of life but I feel it slipping. Lately my life has been so busy with trying to keep up at work, home, church, family, Cancer and time for me, that I feel like I am starting to go under water.

Some days I just want to scream and then I realize that no matter what I do, I still have to go on and get things done. Screaming only postpones the fact that I need to do things.

If I could take a stress test today, I am sure I would fail. I am sure I am off the charts. my only hope is that tomorrow is a new day and maybe I will somehow feel less stressed.

Stress is a constant in life in general; but throw in cancer and it's a whole new ballgame. I know the ride you're on, Evan; and I'm so sorry.

One minute at a time. Ask for help; even if you don't think you need it; and find that time for you - that's what's most important.

I'm here if you need anything. Thinking of you always -

Evan, I can tell you are stressed because you put the wrong date - I think you meant November 30th! Evan, I have learned over the years that December and the holidays within it bring on a lot of stress. Perhaps some of it is because of the weather. Perhaps some of it is the hustle and bustle of what should otherwise be a reverant holiday. I know that I am struggling with depression and so much stress these past few months, I can't even imagine putting cancer in the middle of it. Hang in there, Evan. There will be time enough for you to do all that you NEED to do. Some of your wants may have to be put aside, but your needs will be done. You are such a special brother and I pray that you will find peace and calm in the midst of your storm. By the way, if you do find a remedy for this silly thing called "stress", please bottle it and send it my way! Love ya lots, Mel
